By Abhik Sengupta: The Redmi Watch 3 Active and Xiaomi Smart TV X series have been officially launched in India, alongside the Redmi 12 series. The new smartwatch comes with a large 1.83-inch display, though it resembles the Apple Watch series with a rectangular dial. Another key feature includes a 12-day battery life. The smart TV X-series, on the other hand, has four display sizes – 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch. The key features include HDR 10 and Dolby Vision support.
Here is everything you need to know about the new Xiaomi products.
Redmi Watch 3 Active features and price in India
The new Redmi Watch 3 Active resembles the Redmi Watch 2 Lite of last year, though there are some considerable changes. Firstly, the smartwatch features a large 1.85-inch LCD display with 450 nits of brightness. The frame is mostly plastic, though there’s a “non-conductive vacuum metallization” coating to offer a premium look. The display also offers a 60Hz refresh rate for a smooth scrolling experience.
The Redmi Watch 3 Active works with both iPhones and Android smartphones. Users will need to connect to the device via Bluetooth 5.3 and manage the watch with the Mi Fitness app. The app also lets users go through over 200 watch faces.
Health-related features include a 24/7 heart rate monitor, a step tracker, SpO2, and a stress calculator. The smartwatch also offers menstrual cycle tracking.
Taking a cue from premium smartwatches in the market, the Redmi Watch 3 Active offers Bluetooth calling that can be highly useful in emergencies. The watch even lets users make SOS calls by triple-pressing the side button. Emergency contact can be managed via the app.
Lastly, Xiaomi is promising a 12-day battery backup with standard usage. The package includes a magnetic charging cable, but no adapter. Xiaomi adds that Redmi Watch 3 Active supports quick charging and can attain a full charge in 1 hour and 40 minutes.
The price of the Redmi Watch 3 Active is set at Rs 2,999 and the sale begins on August 3 via official Xiaomi channels.

The sound system is touted to deliver 30W output. There’s also support for Dolby and DTS. Other key features include dual-band Wi-Fi, two USB-A ports, and three HDMI ports.
