HP Dragonfly G4 with 13th-Gen Intel CPU and advanced security features launched, price starts at Rs 2.2 lakh

By Abhik Sengupta: HP India has refreshed its ultra-premium Dragonfly laptop series with the new HP Dragonfly G4 notebook, primarily designed for C-suite customers. The new laptop boasts a super sleek design, weighing under 1 kg.HP says the new HP Dragonfly G4 is also designed to keep hybrid work in mind. To ease hybrid work, key features of the HP Dragonfly G4 include 13th-Gen Intel Core processors (Intel U-series with optional VPro 2), a 13.5-inch display, and Windows 11 Pro for business.

HP Dragonfly G4 price in India

Since the laptop is designed for top business professionals, the HP Dragonfly G4 carries a starting price tag of Rs 2.2 lakh. It is available to purchase at HP online and offline stores.

At over Rs 2 lakh, the HP Dragonfly G4 is one of the priciest 13-inch laptops aimed at professionals. For perspective, Apple’s latest 15-inch MacBook Air with in-house M2 SoC and 256GB SSD costs 1.14 lakh. The top model with 512GB SSD costs Rs 1.44 lakh.

HP’s latest HP Dragonfly G4 follows the recently launched HP Envy x360 15 with IMAX Enhanced certified display. The laptop was also focused on upcoming creators for a starting price of Rs 78,999.

HP Dragonfly G4 specifications, features

As mentioned, HP is focusing on hybrid work, hence the HP Dragonfly G4 boasts a lightweight design for portability without compromising on durability. HP says the packaging and the chassis are made of sustainable materials. In fact, the keyboard key caps are also made of recycled material.

Some of the key features include a 13.5-inch WUXGA+ display with 400 nits. Users can choose between the LCD or OLED variants. It draws power from a 13th-Gen Intel Core i7 processor. The storage configuration includes up to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a 2TB M.2 PCIe encrypted SSD. The encryption ensures the safety of data on board. Business customers can also choose an Intel VPro variant that ensures extra layers of security.

Despite a sleek body, the HP Dragonfly G4 offers a decent array of physical ports. These include two Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports, a Type-A port, HDMI, a nano SIM card slot, and a headphone/mic combo.

HP is also focusing heavily on the web and mics for an enhanced video calling option. There’s a 5-megapixel webcam enhanced by “HP Presence” – HP’s conferencing feature. This includes auto camera select, keystone correction, be right back, backlight and lowlight adjustment, natural tone, adjustable background blur, background adjustment, AI-based noise reduction, and dynamic voice.
