By Ankita Chakravarti: Apple has finally decided on a date to unveil its next iPhone series– the iPhone 15 series. As per latest rumors, Apple is planning to launch the devices in the third week of September. The employees have been advised against taking leaves around the same time, a 9to5Mac report suggests.
As per 9to5 Mac, sources in the tech industry have spilled the beans on the much-awaited iPhone 15 series launch date. According to these insiders, mobile carriers are advising their employees not to take any days off on September 13, hinting at a major smartphone announcement. While the exact brand behind this event remains under wraps, Apple has a history of unveiling its latest iPhones in September.
In the past, Apple has typically announced its iPhones on Tuesdays. However, last year’s event bucked the trend and happened on September 7, which was a Wednesday. This year, September 13 also falls on a Wednesday, leading to speculation that it could be the day Apple chooses for its special event.
If the rumors are true, we can expect pre-orders for the iPhone 15 series to begin on Friday, September 15, with the official launch scheduled for September 22. Last year, pre-orders for the iPhone 14 started on September 9, and the phones hit stores on September 16. There were some exceptions, though, like the delayed release of the iPhone 14 Plus on October 7 due to supply issues.
The iPhone 15 series is expected to come with some exciting new features. Rumors suggest a fresh design with slightly curved edges and thinner bezels around the display. Also, all four new models might have Dynamic Island and USB-C ports instead of the usual Lightning connector. For the Pro models, there’s talk of a new titanium frame, replacing the traditional stainless steel, giving the phones a sleeker look.
Under the hood, the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus are likely to be powered by the A16 Bionic chip, similar to the iPhone 14 Pro. However, the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will introduce the new A17 chip, promising even better performance. Additionally, the larger Pro model might come with a new periscope lens, offering enhanced optical zoom capabilities for photography enthusiasts.
While these updates sound promising, there’s a possibility that the prices of the new iPhones might go up by up to $200 compared to the current generation. But die-hard Apple enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for the official announcement to get the full scoop on the iPhone 15 series and its potential features.
As we inch closer to September, the excitement builds for tech enthusiasts and consumers eager to get their hands on the latest and greatest from Apple. With the alleged launch date just around the corner, it won’t be long before we find out what Apple has in store for its loyal fans!
